What is Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession whose members are registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). The role of a Chiropractor is to diagnose, treat, manage and prevent disorders of the musculoskeletal system i.e. bones, joints and muscles. In addition to this they consider the effects of these disorders on the nervous system and each individuals general health (your physical, emotional and social wellbeing).

Chiropractors use hands-on treatments (manual therapies) known as adjustments (or manipulations) of the spine and/or joints, along with a variety of soft tissue techniques. Treatment techniques can also include ultrasound, shockwave or laser therapy.
